The Ryan Patrick O’Shea Foundation hosted its annual “Rise Up for Ryan” at the Parish Center at St. Agnes in Rockville Centre, bringing community members together for an evening focused on mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
The event on May 1 featured dinner, live music, dancing, raffles and an open bar, while also serving as an opportunity to encourage conversation surrounding mental health and the importance of support resources.
Held in honor of Ryan Patrick O’Shea, the foundation continues its mission of breaking the stigma surrounding mental health struggles and promoting suicide prevention programs. Guests gathered throughout the evening to celebrate Ryan’s memory while supporting initiatives aimed at education, outreach and community dialogue.
Local businesses and supporters contributed to the fundraiser, including A Witch’s Brew and Craft Kitchen & Tap House.
Proceeds from the event will go toward programs and resources designed to support individuals and families facing mental health challenges.
