Rockville Centre drivers get parking payment reminder

The village outlines how to use ParkMobile, pay at kiosks and verify digital payments without displaying a receipt

Rockville Centre is clarifying its parking payment rules, including options for motorists using the ParkMobile system.

Drivers can continue paying with quarters at village parking meters, while credit cards and Apple Pay are accepted at kiosks.

Motorists can also pay through the ParkMobile app, available for iOS and Android devices, or by texting “Park” to 77223. Drivers using the app must enter their license plate number and payment information, which can include a credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay or ParkMobile Wallet.

After entering their payment information, motorists must enter the zone number displayed on green signs or stickers near their parking space. This allows drivers to pay digitally without using coins or a kiosk.

Drivers do not need to display a parking receipt on their dashboards. Parking enforcement officers verify payments electronically by scanning license plates or looking up zone or space numbers on handheld devices. Motorists are encouraged to keep receipts for their records. Drivers with questions about ParkMobile can contact customer support at 877-730-9271.
