The Rockville Centre Recreation Department hosted its annual Spring Egg Hunt a week before Easter, welcoming local families for a festive morning of seasonal fun.
Designed for children in third grade and younger, the event featured multiple timed sessions, allowing participants to rotate through the activities in an organized and comfortable setting.
The egg hunt took place inside the recreation center’s gymnasium, where children eagerly searched for colorful eggs spread throughout the space. The setup provided a lively and engaging environment, with plenty of room for participants to move around while keeping the focus on the excitement of the hunt.
Village officials were also on hand to take part in the festivities, including Mayor Francis X. Murray and Deputy Mayor Kathleen Baxley, who joined families in celebrating the community tradition.
A highlight of the morning was a visit from “Little Bunny Cottontail,” who greeted families and posed for photos with children. The photo opportunities added to the celebratory atmosphere, giving families a chance to capture keepsake moments during the event.
The Spring Egg Hunt once again served as a well-attended community event, offering a fun, organized and family-friendly way for Rockville Centre residents to celebrate the arrival of spring.
