Division Avenue High School musicians selected for All-County and regional music festivals

Several music students at Division Avenue High School have been selected to participate in prestigious upcoming festivals that showcase musical talent from across Nassau County and Long Island.

Following a series of rigorous auditions, students from the school’s choir, band and orchestra programs were invited to perform in the Nassau Music Educators Association’s All-County ensembles. These festivals highlight the top student musicians from across the county and are considered a significant achievement for those selected.

In the orchestral division, Adam Hong was chosen to perform in the Division 4 All-County Orchestra. He will be joined by Sean Aguilar, Eunice Kim, Nina Mac and Rowanne Sy, who were all selected for the Division 5 All-County Orchestra.

Representing the school in the All-County Band will be David Yoo and Emmah Khan, both of whom advanced through the audition process in their respective instruments. In the vocal music category, four students — Zuzanna Bodys, Alyssa Leshinsky, Sarah Loiacono and Rachel Maurer — were selected for the All-County Treble Choir, which features top high school vocalists from throughout Nassau.

In addition to their All-County recognition, two Division Avenue students earned spots in a regional string performance group. Adam Hong and Eunice Kim were selected for the Long Island String Festival Association (LISFA), which draws high-performing student string musicians from across Long Island to rehearse and perform as part of a select ensemble.

The festivals will take place in early 2026 and allow students to collaborate with peers from other districts while performing for live audiences. Participation is considered a significant milestone for student musicians, as well as a reflection of Division Avenue’s robust music education program.
