Seaford Homecoming postponed

Posted

Seaford High School's Homecoming celebration, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11, has been postponed. The scheduled opponent for the football game, Friends Academy, will be unable to field a team due to injuries.

Homecoming will now be held on Saturday, Oct. 25. All details are the same. The parade will begin at 3 p.m. at the Seaford Library before ending at the high school. The Homecoming game follows at 5 p.m. against Mineola. It will be the Vikings' last home match of the season.

This year's theme will be "America Through the Decades" and the grand marshal will be Hon. Terence P. Murphy, a lifelong Seaford resident and a Nassau County District Court judge.

This week's Herald previews the Homecoming celebration, however the paper went to press before the postponement was announced.
