Spreading joy to those in need

Members of the Wantagh Fire Department have been actively engaged in spreading joy and support over the holiday season.

On Dec.12, members from Engine 7 and other first responders teamed up with Santa for a special visit to NYU-Langone in Mineola. Facilitated by Project Thank A Cop, this heartfelt initiative involved delivering toys to the Hospital’s child life department, aiming to bring smiles to hospitalized children not just during Christmas but also throughout the year.

Continuing their spirit of generosity, on Dec. 16, representatives from the Wantagh Fire Department delivered toys to the John Theissen Children’s Foundation. Generously donated by Department members through drop boxes located at Stations 1 and 2, these toys were distributed to children in need, spreading joy and hope during challenging times.

The Wantagh Fire Department says their members remain dedicated to supporting numerous organizations year-round.
