Uniondale man arrested for injuring police officers

A Uniondale man was arrested on Oct. 13 after an incident in Uniondale earlier that morning, according to Nassau police.

Greer Jones, 35, was allegedly involved in a verbal argument with another man on Argyle Avenue, according to police.

Police said when they arrived, Jones was reportedly yelling at the officers while trying to leave. He then allegedly pushed an officer during the struggle before he was arrested.

Two officers were taken to local hospitals for their injuries, according to the police. No other injuries were reported.

Jones is charged with assault, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Oct. 14.
