As part of the weeklong celebration of Safety Week, students at West End School in Lynbrook received a firsthand lesson in fire safety from members of the Lynbrook Fire Department’s Vulcan Company. Hot wheels On Oct. 23, the Lynbrook Fire Department responded to a working car fire in the parking lot along Peninsula Blvd. between Earle and Vincent avenues. Truck Company, Vulcan Company and Hose Company responded to the scene under the command of First Deputy Chief Mike Hynes.
