Gianluca Bordone of Oyster Bay, 21, was acquitted by a Manhattan jury on Thursday for manslaughter and assault for the fatal stabbing of 17-year old Rocco Rodden of Warren Township, New Jersey in 2023 outside a Live Ax in the city. Bordone, who was 19 at the time, had previously pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The incident had occurred on Nov. 23, when Bordone's and Rodden's respective friend groups, both celebrating at the same throwing ax club in the city for the Thanksgiving holidays, began to brawl outside. At 1:30 a.m., NYPD officers arrived on the scene and found both Rodden and Bordone with wounds to their torso.

The 17-year old junior at St. Joseph Regional High School was pronounced dead on arrival to the hospital.
