James A. Dever Elementary School recently hosted a Winter Ball, a festive event hosted by the Parent-Teacher Association that brought together students, families, and the community in celebration of the winter holiday season.

“I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to our PTA for coordinating and organizing this event,” said Darren Gruen, Principal of James A. Dever Elementary School.

“Their dedication and hard work made this event a success. I would also like to thank our school librarian, Thomas Mullen, and Innovation Lab Media Aide Andrea Colletti for their enthusiastic participation and for running the cookie decorating booth.”

The event kicked off with a captivating performance by the Dever Chamber Orchestra led by music teacher Matthew Spinks, which set a joyful tone for the evening. Attendees were treated to a delightful mix of music, cookies, and hot chocolate, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

In addition to the musical performance and refreshments, the Winter Ball featured a variety of winter-themed activities and crafts. These activities provided an opportunity for students and families to engage in creative play together and foster a sense of community.

The highlight of the evening was an epic snowball fight, a playful activity that brought out the child in everyone and added a touch of winter magic to the event.
