New York City police officer killed in car crash near Exit 13

A NYPD officer was killed in a car crash last Sunday morning in Valley Stream. Clifford Saintvil, 32, drove a 2013 Nissan Rogue when it veered onto the right shoulder of the parkway and plowed into a tree near Exit 13, according to state police. Saintvil was taken to a nearby hospital and succumbed to his injuries.

The officer’s labor union, the city’s Police Benevolent Association, said that Saintvil was en route to work at the 113^th Precinct in Queens. No further details regarding the circumstances and causes of the incident has been released, as an investigation remains ongoing, according to state police officials.
