Crystin Quick: Living in Oceanside means more than just real estate

Posted

For Crystin Quick, a licensed real estate professional with Douglas Elliman, real estate is about helping people find the right fit.

“The real estate market is always strong this time of year,” Quick said, “but I’m seeing an uplift in the Oceanside market, which speaks to everything Oceanside has to offer.”

In Nassau County, Oceanside stands out for its convenience, amenities and quality of life. “Everything you need is readily available,” Quick said, noting grocery stores, retail options and local restaurants.

Quick said families benefit from local parks, youth sports programs and the library. The community offers access to nearby beaches while maintaining a convenient commute to New York City.

Part of Oceanside’s appeal is its diverse housing inventory. This variety attracts a range of residents, from first-time buyers and growing families to empty nesters looking to remain in the community.

Buyers can find everything from co-ops and condominiums to starter homes, waterfront properties, and homes accommodating multigenerational living.

However, as demand continues to outpace available inventory, navigating the market requires preparation, flexibility, and a thoughtful strategy.

Quick believes buyers and sellers benefit from having a knowledgeable local advocate who understands the community and today’s marketplace. For example, she recently worked with a couple that lost out on multiple Oceanside listings.

“They needed an expert who could help them approach things differently,” she said. “I explained you have to be strategic on how you submit the terms of the offer, and we talked about what we can do to strengthen their offer on a particular home. Because of my understanding of what the seller wanted and my strong relationship within the real estate community, I was able to get their offer accepted over others.”

Success comes down to understanding the local market, communicating effectively and creating a strategy that aligns with the needs of all parties involved.

For homeowners considering selling, Oceanside’s continued demand and limited inventory have created strong opportunities to maximize property value.

Quick noted that properly preparing, pricing, and marketing a home is especially important in today’s market, where buyers look closely at lifestyle and long-term value.

For residents considering a move, Oceanside’s continued popularity is a reminder that real estate decisions are often about more than property. They’re about finding the place to build a life, stay connected, and planning for the future.
