Valley Stream Lions lend a financial hand to charities

Posted

The Valley Stream Lions Club handed ceremonial giant checks, bestowing thousands of dollars, to two local service organizations to financially support them in their mission to uplift and benefit the community.

The Holy Name of Mary Parish Outreach program and the Blessed Sacrament Outreach program were each gifted $10,000, but that’s not all. Hundreds of dollars were given to other notable organizations including the Sunrise Day Camp, Friends of Bridge, Valley Stream Little League, the Valley Stream Fire Department, and the New Ground Women’s Shelter.

The money will support a range of causes from food pantry services and supporting victims of drug addiction to clothing needy families.
