Kim Keiserman wins Democratic Primary for State Senate by a landslide

Kim Keiserman has secured a decisive victory in the Democratic primary for state Senate, beating her opponent Brad Schwartz with 73 percent of votes.

A Port Washington resident and passionate school district advocate, Keiserman’s campaign centeres on education reform, reproductive rights, and environmental protection. Her firsthand experience in various school systems fueled her commitment to fully fund public schools and enhance access to post-secondary education for low-income students.

Keiserman’s political journey began in response to Donald Trump’s 2016 election, which galvanized her to join the Port Washington Democratic Club. She has been active in grassroots organizing, including efforts to oust expelled U.S. Rep. George Santos. Her platform includes protecting Long Island’s aquifers from pollution and overuse, and advocating for sustainable water practices.

Keiserman’s dedication to reproductive rights is underscored by her intention to join the bipartisan pro-choice Legislative Caucus if elected.
