At 7:21 p.m. on Sunday evening, across from a shopping center at 5598 Sunrise Highway, a westbound vehicle traveling at high speed collided with three other vehicles.

Patrice Huntley, 60, of Flushing, was pronounced dead at the scene, as were the Uniondale children, Jeremiah Huntley, 10, and Hannah Huntley, 13.

Five additional victims were taken to local hospitals. As of Monday afternoon, two were listed in critical and unstable condition, two were in stable condition, and one was treated and released.

The investigation is ongoing.
