A special summer for Valley Stream child

One lucky girl will be able to attend summer camp for the very first time because of the efforts of Marsha Guerrier. The Valley Stream resident runs the Yva Jourdan Foundation which is sponsoring a child for the village’s summer camp at Barrett Park for the second consecutive year. more

No parking signs recently went up on the west side of Fletcher Avenue, restricting daytime parking in front of Memorial Junior High School.

There’s no more parking in front of Memorial Junior High School, at least not during the school day. The village board, at the request of the Valley Stream Central High School District, has eliminated parking there between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. more
