Nassau County veterans who thought they would see their school taxes reduced in 2014-15 will have to wait. Though dozens of school boards around the county voted in recent weeks to ease veterans’ tax burdens, including the three Valley Stream elementary districts, the county’s Department of Assessment has postponed enactment of the tax breaks until 2015-16.
