Green Acres Mall awarded $15,350 to local Parent-Teacher Associations during its third annual School Cents Awards Presentation on June 6.
Representatives from participating PTA organizations gathered at Green Acres to learn how much funding their schools earned through the School Cents program during the 2025-26 school year.
A total of $15,350 was awarded based on points earned by supporters who shopped and dined at Green Acres throughout the school year.
“School Cents demonstrates the incredible impact our community can make when we come together to support local schools,” Jill Bromberg, marketing community relations manager for Green Acres, said. “We are proud to continue this program and celebrate the families, educators and supporters whose participation helps create meaningful opportunities for students throughout our community.”
Brooklyn Avenue Elementary School received first place and a $3,500 award. Forest Road Elementary School placed second and received $3,000. Robert W. Carbonaro Elementary School earned third place and received $2,500.
Shaw Avenue Elementary School finished fourth and received $2,000. William L. Buck Elementary School placed fifth and received $1,500. Lawrence Middle School earned sixth place and received $1,000.

The School Cents program engages parents, teachers, students and community supporters who shop and dine at Green Acres by allowing them to upload receipts and earn points for their participating school of choice. Schools can also earn bonus points through special events, fundraising partnerships with Green Acres businesses and community engagement activities held throughout the year.
Now in its third year, the School Cents program continues to connect Green Acres with local schools and provide financial support for PTA-sponsored programs and initiatives.
