No holiday for passport services in Valley Stream

The Valley Stream Post Office will offer passport services on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 17. The post office, located at 111 S. Franklin Ave., will offer the service from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Customers should arrive no later than 2:45 p.m. to allow time to process the application.

Passport applicants will need to have the following documents: passport applications DS-11 for first-time applicants and minors under 16 or DS-82 for renewals for adults only, and a driver’s license, original birth certificate, original naturalization certificate, or old passport and a digital picture which is available for a $15 fee.

Passport application forms are also available at the post office or can be found online by visiting www.usps.com and clicking on "Passports: on the left side of the page.


Fees for passports are as follows:

$110 for first time adult applicants, over 16 years old, and applicants who applied before 16 years old; $ 80 for first time applicants under 16 years old; $182.85 Expediting fees for first time applicants over 16 years old; and $152.85 Expediting fees for minors.

All applicants pay $25 application fee to the USPS by check. No cash or credit card transactions will be available on that day.
