The Valley Stream Chamber of Commerce kicked off its first food truck festival of the season, drawing community members to the pool parking lot at Hendrickson Park for a full day of food, music and activities.
Held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 2, the event featured a lineup of food trucks offering a wide range of options. Participating vendors included Tornado Potato, Love Coffee, Mama Mia What a Taco, Rockin Roast, Good Food, Coal House Grill, Pelican SnoBalls, Pupusa City, Nothin Bundt Cakes and Dominick’s Chicken Fingers.
In addition to food, attendees enjoyed music from a DJ throughout the day, demonstrations by the Valley Stream Fire Department and more. Organizers promoted the festival as a community gathering and encouraged visitors to support local businesses by purchasing from the various trucks.
The event marked the start of the Chamber’s seasonal programming, bringing residents together for what was billed as “a day of fun” centered around food and community engagement.
