Attempted carjacking in West Hempstead

Nassau County Police are seeking a suspect after he allegedly attempted to rob a woman’s vehicle at gunpoint as she was sitting in a CVS parking lot last week.
According to police, on March 16, the 60-year-old woman was sitting in her 2008 Audi parked in the parking lot of CVS on Hempstead Avenue in West Hempstead. Around 7:35 p.m., police said, a black male allegedly approached the victim, displayed a black handgun and demanded her car. The victim placed her car in reverse and fled from the subject. No injuries were reported, police said.
