It's time to sign up for the 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

    The 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament committee announced last week that divisions are open and it’s time to sign up. Email dutchtourney@gmail.com to obtain forms to sign up for the tourney, which will be held July 9 at the Dutch Broadway School in Elmont starting at 9:30 a.m. and running all day.
    Participants include children from Elmont, North Valley Stream, Franklin Square, West Hempstead and other communities. Last year, more than 2,300 children participated.
    This year, the tourney is being held in memory of David Dangerfield, a community member who was active in youth athletic leagues and PTA.
    The committee also announced that it will assign specific times for different divisions so there will be less waiting and down time, and so participants can enjoy other attractions and events at the tourney.
    Those interested in volunteering in the tournament in all capacities are invited to sign up to do so by emailing dutchtourney@gmail.com.
