New president installed at W.H. American Legion

The Cathedral Post American Legion Auxiliary of West Hempstead held is annual installation of officers, naming Carmen Torre its new president. Past Tenth District Chairperson Marianne Orlando administered the Oath of Office during the May 11 event.
Torre has been a member of the legion's executive board and served as a delegate to the Nassau County Committee of the American Legion Auxiliary.
During its upcoming June meeting, Cathedral Post 1087 will recognize Torre and former president Joan Klopfer for their "unselfish and dedicated" service to veterans and their families, as well as to the service men and women who are currently serving in the armed forces, according to Orlando.
