W.H. wants a win for students' science skills

A number of West Hempstead Middle School students participated in the Long Island Science Congress, which took place on Wednesday, April 14, at Farmingdale State College. The students' projects were displayed and judged by science teachers from various schools throughout Long Island. Winning projects will be announced later this month. West Hempstead has high hopes for its participants. The participating students were, from left, Xavier Roberts, Alexandra Schindler, Jaime Rodriguez, Morgan Cinnamo, Amanda Lombardo, Eric Romano, Alexei Pooran, Noble Thomas and James Kinney. Tara Benik and Dina Gould are members of the middle school science staff.
