A potentially dangerous accident occurred on the afternoon of Friday, Jan. 14 when a car slid out of control and smashed into a house at 1275 Woodside Ave. Thankfully, according to Baldwin Fire Department Second Deputy Chief Robert Brancato, no one was in the residence at the time of the crash, and while the passenger from the car was transported to South Nassau Medical Center for observation, her injuries were not thought to be serious. The driver, a female, refused medical treatment at the scene. more
