Career dreaming at Five Towns Early Learning Center

Summer’s end was celebrated at the Five Towns Early Learning Center Inwood on Aug. 29 with a barbecue and graduation of 11 children from the pre-k program who will be entering kindergarten this school year and 11 kids who graduated from the learning center’s early childhood program and will begin the pre-k program.

Inwood-based Five Towns Early Learning Center and Five Towns Community Chest in Woodmere joined together on July 29, as staff and board members of both civic organizations toured the refurbished premises of the Early Learning Center. The educational facility sustained severe damage during Hurricane Sandy.

Wearing their dressy apparel once again

After sharing iPhone photos throughout the spring of their dresses, five young women Kristina Grupe, Victoria Benoit, Madison Ventrice, Gabrielle Cohen and Sachelle Jonas, who graduated high school this year, showed off their prom apparel at SIBSPlace in Hewlett’s Encore Prom on June 27.
