For 45 years the Island Park American Legion post 1029 has held a gathering for the Vets in the Saint Albans Veterans Administration Community Living Center. The center provides primary care and offers specialized geriatric programs and restorative rehabilitation. An outpatient Adult Day Health Care Program and Home Based Primary Care Program exists and cares for physically disabled, medically-complicated elderly veterans who are at risk of nursing home placement or recurrent hospitalization.

Since Island Park sold it’s building the Legion Post 303 of Rockville Centre has been allowing Island Park to use its facilities.
