At the Feb. 24 Island Park Board of Education meeting, the January Student of the Month recipients were recognized for their accomplishments. The Student of the Month honors students at Francis X. Hegarty and Lincoln Orens Middle Schools for cooperation, leadership, community involvement, academic performance, attendance, good behavior and a positive attitude.
