Arrests

 

  • Kevin Callahan, 20, of Long Beach, was arrested at Paddy McGee's, 6 Waterview Road in Island Park, on June 11 for obstructing government administration and disorderly conduct.
  • Nadine Hewitt, 39, of Cambria Heights, was arrested on June 17 at TJ Maxx, 3221 Long Beach Road in Oceanside, and charged with shoplifting.
  • Jordan Kaplan, 21, of Roslyn, was arrested on June 5 at Paddy McGee's, 6 Waterview Road in Island Park, and charged with resisting arrest and harassment. According to police, Kaplan pushed a patron at Paddy McGee's and attempted to punch him and a second patron that tried to intervene.
  • Michael Mitchell, 26, of Oceanside, was arrested on June 18 on Vermont Avenue and charged with menacing. According to police, Mitchell was involved in an altercation with the complainant when he punched the complainant in the face, spit on the complainant's girlfriend and threatened the complainant and anyone who tried to intervene with a wrench.
  • Filippo Califano, 47, and Kathryn Ringhauser, 20, both of Oceanside, were arrested on June 18 at Marshall's, 3544 Long Beach Road in Oceanside, and charged with grand larceny. According to police, Ringhauser, a cashier at Marshall's, allowed Califano to take assorted items without paying for them. Additionally, police say, she issued a fake cash refund receipt for returned merchandise and pocked the money.
  • Luis Lopez, 24, of Massapequa, was arrested on June 4 on Austin Boulevard and charged with driving while ability impaired and other assorted vehicle and traffic violations.
  • Matthew Zimbalist, 24, of Oceanside, was arrested on June 7 at Paddy McGee's, 6 Waterview Road in Island Park, and charged with resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana. According to police, Zimbalist was removed from the bar by security for having engaged in a physical altercation with another patron. Zimbalist continued wrestling with the security and later refused to comply with the orders of the police officers at the scene, police said.
