Oceanside Middle School seventh- and eighth-graders put on an astounding rendition of “The Boy Friend” on January 31 and February 1, 2014 at the middle school.
Song after song this talented group wowed the packed auditorium with their acting, singing and dancing. Under the direction of Mr. Bruce Bider, the cast made the audience feel like they were watching a professional production. The months of hard work and dedication paid off.

Set in the French Riviera during the Roaring 20’s, the play tells the story of Polly Brown who pretends to be poor and invents a boyfriend. After she falls in love with Tony, a lowly messenger boy, Polly finds that they both come from wealthy families.
Love is also in the air for Maisie Merryweather and Bobby Van Husen, along with their friends as the marriage proposals are as abundant as the applause. Bravo!
