Long Beach’s Kierre Jefferson, Josh Trone, Jaymen Teemer and Lamont Maxwell, pictured left to right, set a new school record in the 4 x 100 meter relay in a quad meet at Carey on May 5. The foursome completed the race in 43.9 seconds. Jefferson also set an individual school mark in the high jump (5-feet, 10-inches), while Brandt Scott established a new school record in the 400 Intermediate Hurdles (1:02). On May 10, freshman Kyle Mosley added his name to the record book with a 17.7-second finish in the 110 high hurdles. The Marines (10-3) will compete in the Division 2-A championship meet Tuesday at MacArthur.
