Board meeting


The Long Beach Board of Education will hold a regular meeting at the middle school at 8 p.m. on Feb. 8.


Parent-principal roundtable


The middle school parent/principal roundtable is scheduled for Jan. 14 at 9:30 a.m.


Bedtime and books

West School’s grades K-2 “Bedtime and Books” will he held on Jan. 21 at 6:30 p.m.; the 3rd to 5th granders will cuddle at “Book Night” on Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m.


Morning Madness comedy night


The high school PTSA is sponsoring its 4th Annual comedy night on Jan. 30 from 7 to 11 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El of Long Beach. Starring John Pizzi and featuring Melvin George, the show includes a full buffet dinner provided by Outback Steakhouse, door prizes and raffles. Adults only and over 21. Tickets are $50. All proceeds will benefit the PTSA’s alcohol-free Morning Madness after-prom party.


Say hello to H.S. musical


The high school theater department will present a musical production of “Bye-Bye Birdie” on Feb. 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m., and a matinee performance on Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12. Senior citizens are invited to a free performance on Feb. 2 at 4 p.m. For reservations call 897-6500.
