Posh Pets holds first-ever Posh-A-Thon

Posted

Posh Pets Animal Shelter has been a place for animals to temporarily call home while trying to find their forever home for years. Over 1,000 furry friends have passed through the shelter along their journey.

They hold events throughout the year, and collect funds, donations and volunteered time from tons of community members. The shelter introduced a new event Oct. 29 — the first-ever Posh-A-Thon.

The Posh-A-Thon saw community members and animal lovers crowd Kennedy Plaza for a group walk. People either came with their own four-legged pals or walked with one of them up for adoption.

The walk began just before noon from Kennedy Plaza, went down to Broadway by the boardwalk, and came back to Kennedy Plaza up Edwards Boulevard. The walk was about a mile and lasted about 20 minutes.
