Simply put, we loved everything about this new restaurant. Italian food can be redundant or hidden under heavy sauces…but not here.

A company’s plans to build “Port Ambrose,” a liquefied natural gas terminal in the Atlantic Ocean 19 miles southeast of Jones Beach, have stalled for months in a federal review process, but that is likely to change next month. A U.S. Coast Guard official estimated that the government will release a Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Port Ambrose in December.

It isn’t the fault of the Long Beach community that its medical center was heavily damaged by Hurricane Sandy. It may be that quite a few local residents never used the facility, but by now the entire town knows it is without a local hospital.
