A lesson in 'tutting' in Rockville Centre

Posted

Lancelot Theobald Jr., center, top row, worked with the 7th and 8th graders at South Side High School before the Spring break. He taught students in their Phys Ed class a move called “tutting.” Tutting and finger tutting is a style of hip-hop dance in which one arranges their fingers and hands in a series of angular poses, emulating a comedy routine by Steve Martin about Egyptian King Tut, hence the name “tutting.” The moves took determination, coordination and lots of practice but in the end, everyone was able to tut.
