Fighting to the finish

South Side High School senior Ben Tetelman, the 2010 Varsity Soccer MVP and co-captain of the 2010 Nassau County champs, fourth from left in the front row, held the championship plaque as co-captain of the 2011 U-18 Eastern New York State Cup Champion Garden City Gladiators.

Tetelman’s Gladiators now qualify for the regional round of the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship Series, to be held in Lancaster, Pa. in July.

Tetelman plans to take his soccer talents to the Red Dragons of SUNY Oneonta, the defending SUNYAC conference champs, next fall.
