New Chamber slate takes office

Members of the Rockville Centre Chamber of Commerce joined local officials at a dinner reception at Temple B'nai Sholom on Jan. 12 during which the chamber’s new slate of officers was sworn in.

Lawrence Siegel, president of At Your Service Limousines was again installed as the group's president — for a third term — Margarita M. Fox of Mercy Medical Center is first vice president; Paul Cronen, from State Bank of Long Island, is the second vice president; the new treasurer is Michael J. Rechter, D.D.S. of Long Island Dental Excellence and Karen Resnick, of Richner Communications, is continuing as the group's secretary.

Ellen Alberti, of Maple Avenue Dance, who recently retired from the chamber's board of directors, was presented with the Barbara Klein Memorial Award in recognition of her continued service and support for the chamber. Currently serving on the board of directors is Rosemarie Cartigine, of Body, Mind & Soul; Chuck Chardell, of Chardell, Inc.; Ingrid Davidson, of Astoria Federal Savings; Barbara Goldfeder, from Coach Realty; Jennifer Rivera of Minuteman Press; Pat Huber from Better Home Health Care; Neil Kirschen of Pain Management; Gary Marks, of Zacarese & Marks, LLP, CPAs ; Bruce Mirkin from Accent on Eyes; Jeff Novack, of J. Novack Designs; Doug Sinetar from Signator Investors and Yndiana Seltzer of Sparks Unisex.

Guests at the installation dinner were entertained with live music provided by J & F Entertainment and a ventriloquist, Vince Dantona and his wooden buddy,George, who kept everyone laughing.
