SSHS Booster Club Dinner Dance

This annual fundraiser will take place on Jan. 30 at Temple B’Nai Sholom., Hempstead Ave. from 7:30 p.m. – midnight. Tailgate/casual attire; $60 per ticket. The dance supports South Side High School’s student athletes. There will be good food, a cocktail hour, raffle prizes, a Super Bowl pool and a live band. For more information, call (516) 763-1992.

Catholic Schools Week Jan. 31 - Feb. 6

The 53 Catholic elementary schools in the Diocese of Rockville Centre, including St. Agnes Cathedral School in Rockville Centre, will celebrate Catholic Schools Week beginning Jan. 31. The schools are planning activities that express the 2010 theme of “Catholic Schools - Dividends for Life.” Each school’s events are part of the annual celebration of Catholic schools and their contributions

to their communities throughout the country.

During the week, the schools will hold open houses for parents considering schooling options for their children. To search for an open house ,visit www.

Irish Classes at Molloy College

The school is offering Irish Gaelic classes on Saturdays from 9:30 a..m. to 11:30 a.m. beginning Feb. 6.  The course will be taught by Hazel Ní Chonaire Chrobet. Information is now available at muscente@molloy.edu.
