South Side Middle School's 8th graders attend their final assembly

South Side Middle School’s eighth graders participated in their final assembly at the shool in an early afternoon ceremony on June 25.

New school board trustee Gregg Spaulding told the students that their principals, teachers and staff have prepared them to enter one of the best high schools in the country, where civic responsibility is fostered, diversity is respected and all students are enabled to realize their full potential.

He said that as they continue their journey to becoming the independent thinkers and problem solvers of tomorrow, their accomplishments will be noted.

Spaulding welcomed the South Side High School class of 2014 and congratulated the students and their families and friends.
