Georgia student raise thousands of $$ for East Rockaway schools

The Tritt Elementary School student council raised more than $5,000 from student donations. An anonymous donor agreed to match that amount and the Pope High Student Council and Key Club added another $800, bringing total donations to $12,208.

What started as a third-grader’s idea to help out elementary school students whose school was damaged heavily by Hurricane Sandy on Oct. 29 has become one of the largest student-only fundraising projects for Tritt Elementary School in East Cobb, Ga.
