SIBSPlace celebrates 15 years of helping

The atrium of South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside was packed with people on Oct. 20 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Hewlett-placed SIBSPlace (Survivorship in Brothers and Sisters), a free after-school therapeutic program founded by Hewlett Harbor resident Michael Schamroth in partnership with South Nassau.

Having fall festival fun in Atlantic Beach

Atlantic Beach village hosted its second annual fall festival by Village Hall last Sunday. There was a pumpkin patch for Linus and others, hay rides, a scavenger hunt, pony rides, a petting zoo, sand arts, local vendors and crafts as well as food and other refreshments, and even a surf contest.
