People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrests

Christopher J. Hildebrandt, 22, of Skillman Avenue, Oceanside, was arrested on Feb. 27 and charged with driving while intoxicated after he allegedly backed his vehicle into a marked patrol car on Front Street.

Samuel B. Mitchell, 41, of N. Columbus Avenue, Freeport was arrested on Feb. 28 and charged with vehicle traffic law violations and a Hempstead Village warrant after police say they saw him speeding on Sunrise Highway.

Dominic J. Morda, 31, of Davidson Court, East Rockaway, was arrested on Feb. 27 and charged with having an open bench warrant for aggravated harassment following an investigation on Merrick Road.

Bruce A. Coles, 47, of Green Avenue, Hempstead was arrested on Feb. 24 and charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, two counts of counterfeiting and two counts of failing to disclose the origin of a recording following an investigation by UPS security.

Gerard M. Cozzi, 21, of Courtland Avenue, Oceanside, was arrested on Feb. 25 and charged with driving while intoxicated and vehicle traffic law violations after police said they watched him driving on Morris Avenue at Merrick Road.

Laurie Sabella Moreau, 21, of Park Avenue, Uniondale, was arrested on Feb. 24 and charged with petit larceny following an investigation by N. Village Avenue store security personnel.

Edward L. Richardson, 45, of Old Mill Court, was arrested and charged with petit larceny after he was identified by Rockville Centre Police Department anti-crime personnel from a Nassau County Police Department Crime Stoppers photo. Richardson was released on a 4th Precinct appearance ticket.

Jason E. Ward, 41, of Cooper Street, Brooklyn, was arrested on Feb. 23 and charged with criminal mischief after allegedly damaging the front door of a Windsor Avenue apartment building.
